Visitors thinking of booking a hotel in Blackpool will find that there is an extensive range of hotels from budget accommodation to luxury standard, suiting all pockets and all requirments. Blackpool Hotels include some well known names - the Imperial, the Metropole, the Norbreck Castle, the Savoy, The Cliffs, the Carlton, to mention but a few.

There are a number of grading schemes in operation and it can often be confusing to understand exactly what these mean. Hotels have a minimum of six bedrooms but are likely to have twenty or more bedrooms. Small Hotels have a maximum of twenty bedrooms are more likely to be more personally run. Hotels (including small hotels ) are rated on a system of one to five stars. One star for example means that all rooms are ensuite or private, while five star means that the hotel has a number of permanent suites and enhanced services, such as concierge and full afternoon tea. (Two stars - dinner usually available every evening; three stars - all rooms are ensuite, room service also available; four stars - twenty-four hour room service, with 50% of rooms having a bath and a shower. )
